What is the best fast food in Belgrade? For one answer that covers late hours, delivery and a wide menu, the top pick in this guide is Havarija fast food Belgrade: four restaurants across the city, three of them open and delivering until 4 AM every day. If you want one specific dish, the other six places below are names that come up again and again in Belgrade food guides and local recommendations.
Belgrade eats late, and its street food goes well beyond burgers. Three words will help with most menus. Ćevapi are small grilled skinless sausages, pljeskavica is a wide grilled patty usually eaten in bread, and somun is the soft flatbread that grilled meat comes in. Prices below are in Serbian dinars (RSD).
1. Havarija: best all-rounder, with delivery until 4 AM
Havarija has been making fast food in Belgrade since 2019 and has completed more than 800,000 deliveries. Its appeal for newcomers is range: Sarajevo-style ćevapi, pljeskavica, burgers and smash burgers, chicken gyros, pulled pork, grill by the kilo and more than 30 kinds of pancakes all sit on one menu, and the full menu stays available after midnight.
What to order
- Ćevapi: five pieces (180 g) of pure beef ćevapi with no soy or additives, in warm somun, for 620 RSD. More on the Sarajevo ćevapi in Belgrade page.

2. Walter: Sarajevo-style ćevapi
Walter opened its first restaurant in the Belgrade suburb of Železnik in 2004 and has since grown into a chain with restaurants in Belgrade and several other Serbian cities. Sarajevo-style ćevapi are its signature, served with flatbread baked in its own kitchen. It is a good choice when you want ćevapi as a proper sit-down meal.
3. Stepin Vajat: pljeskavica
Stepin Vajat is one of the names most often linked with pljeskavica in Belgrade. Its restaurant at Autokomanda, on Vojvode Stepe, has a menu built around grilled meat, with pljeskavica in several versions, and the brand has other locations around the city.
4. Burger House Bros: burgers near Kalemegdan
Burger House Bros is at Kralja Petra 10, a short walk from Kalemegdan fortress, so it fits easily into a day of sightseeing. Gault&Millau describes it as a landmark of the city's burger scene. The house Bros Burger has 220 g of aged beef, and there are chicken and meat-free options too.
5. Pizza Bucko: a city center classic since 1997
Bucko has been around since 1997 and is known for pizza with a wide choice of toppings, including creamy salads that surprise many visitors. The Zetska street location, near Skadarlija and Kalemegdan, is a popular stop for a quick bite in the center.
6. Pekara Trpković: burek
Fast food in Belgrade also means bakeries. Pekara Trpković at Nemanjina 32, close to Slavija, is known for burek, and its counter often has a line. It works as a breakfast or daytime stop rather than a late-night one, so check the hours before you go.
7. Gyropolis: gyros on delivery apps
Gyropolis is a gyros brand with a Greek theme and delivery across much of the city, including New Belgrade, Vračar and Zvezdara. If gyros is all you want, it is worth comparing with Havarija's chicken gyros on your delivery app of choice.
