Freelancers in Serbia are reminded of the upcoming tax filing deadline.

  • Deadline for income tax returns is October 30, 2026.
  • Applies to all freelancers earning from contracted work.
  • Filing can be done via eTaxes portal or Freelancers portal.
  • Missing the deadline may lead to compliance issues.
  • Foreign residents working in Serbia must also comply.

The Tax Administration of Serbia has reminded freelancers that the deadline for submitting income tax returns for the third quarter of 2026 is Friday, 30 October.

The notice applies to all natural persons in Serbia who earn income from contracted work and from copyright and related rights, where tax is paid through self-assessment. These taxpayers must submit the return on Form PP OPO-K.

Filing can be done through the Tax Administration’s eTaxes portal or through the Freelancers portal. The authority also says detailed instructions are available in the user guide published on its website and on the Freelancers portal.

For people working independently in Serbia, the reminder matters because missing the deadline can lead to compliance problems and delays in settling tax obligations for the quarter. Foreign residents who work this way in Serbia are also included if they meet the conditions set by the tax rules.

More information is available on the Tax Administration of Serbia website and on the Freelancers portal. Readers can also follow our latest news page for other official updates.
