Startit, a Serbian portal for the IT community, startups and tech jobs, will hold a free event in Novi Sad on Thursday, November 12, on how artificial intelligence is changing the work of design teams. The talk starts at 18:00 at the Startit AI Hub, Mike Antića 2. It is part of the organizer's series of more than 100 free AI events planned for 2026.
What the talk covers
According to the organizers, designers increasingly work directly in code. The visual direction and the moodboard (a collage of references that sets the look of a project) are still created first, but the team then moves straight into development. Startit says a homepage that once took about 80 hours can now be finished in a day or two.
The guest is David Prodanović, who has worked as a design lead and design director for the past eight years. He leads a team that designs and builds websites and products for clients, mainly B2B SaaS (business software sold as an online service) companies and corporate customers, including sites built in Webflow. Webflow is a tool for building websites visually.
The organizers say that during the past year he trained his team in faster ways of working while client expectations on quality kept rising, as did those of management.
Planned topics
- what has already changed in the job market for designers and what is still coming
- designing directly in code, from pixels and Figma to a prototype in the browser
- how to show value to a client when a homepage takes a day or two instead of dozens of hours
- why clients are less tolerant of small mistakes and what that means for people entering the profession

A large part of the evening is reserved for questions and discussion with the audience.
