About us

Serbia News is an English-language news portal about Serbia. We report on politics, the economy, business and investment, the EU accession process, energy and infrastructure, technology, everyday life in the country, Belgrade, travel, culture and sport.

Who we write for

Our readers are people who need to understand Serbia without reading Serbian: foreign investors and companies working in Serbia, diplomats, expats and their families, international students, journalists and analysts, and anyone planning to visit, move or do business here. We write for readers who want to know what happened, what it means and what comes next.

What we cover

  • Politics and EU & Diplomacy: the government, parliament, elections, EU accession and foreign relations
  • Economy and Business & Investment: official data, the National Bank of Serbia, companies, deals and the investment climate
  • Energy & Infrastructure and Tech: energy, mining, transport, Expo 2027 and the IT sector
  • Living in Serbia and Belgrade: practical rules and services for foreigners, and news from the capital
  • Travel & Culture and Sport

How we work

We rely first on primary sources: the Government of Serbia, ministries, the National Bank of Serbia, the Statistical Office, public institutions and companies, and then on established Serbian and international media. Many of our sources publish only in Serbian, and part of our job is to make that information accurate and understandable in English. We use artificial intelligence tools when preparing articles, and editorial responsibility stays with our newsroom. You can read more on the pages Editorial policy and Sources and transparency.
